Connect your Apartments.com single-family contract with RentEngine

If you have a paid Apartments.com (CoStar) contract for single-family rentals, follow these steps to connect it to RentEngine.

When is this required?

When your single-family rentals are covered under an Apartments.com/CoStar advertising contract.

Do not post the same listings through multiple sources. This can cause listings to be blocked.

Step 1 — Email Apartments.com (CC RentEngine)

Send an email to the Apartments.com feeds team. This message must come from you (the contract holder).

To: feeds@apartments.com

CC: ops@rentengine.io

Subject: Single-Family Syndication – RentEngine Feed Authorization

Message:

Hi there,

We have a paid Apartments.com (CoStar) Single-Family contract and would like all rental listings to be syndicated via the RentEngine feed going forward.

Here are a few example properties:

[Insert a few addresses here]

Please let us know if anything else is needed to move forward.

Thanks,

[Your Name]

Step 2 — RentEngine replies with technical details

We’ll reply on the same thread with the property IDs (and any additional metadata Apartments.com requests). No further action is required from you in this step.

Step 3 — Apartments.com confirms the change

Apartments.com will confirm once the feed is switched. Your listings will then publish from RentEngine and all leads will flow into RentEngine.

If your Zillow rep asks to keep any other feeds connected, please tell them to disconnect all other feeds (except RentEngine)
