Connect your Zillow multifamily contract with RentEngine

If you have a paid Zillow Multifamily contract, take this short step to connect it to RentEngine so your apartment listings syndicate from a single source (and don’t get blocked as duplicates).

When is this required?

Zillow requires a paid multifamily contract for communities with 25+ units. If that applies to any of your buildings, authorize RentEngine as your feed so Zillow can publish your listings from RentEngine.

Do not post directly in Zillow Rental Manager or via another feed. Multiple sources can block the listings. Keep RentEngine as your only syndication source.

Step 1 - Set up your multifamily properties in RentEngine:

First, make sure your multifamily properties and floorplans are set up in RentEngine.

Follow this guide: How to Set Up Multifamily Properties and Floorplans.

Step 2 — Email your Zillow representative (CC RentEngine)

Send your Zillow rep a brief email and CC ops@rentengine.io

This message must come from you (the contract holder).

You can use this recommended template:

CC: ops@rentengine.io

Subject: Feed Transfer Request – RentEngine

Message:

Hi there,

We’d like to apply our paid Zillow Multifamily contract to properties syndicated via the RentEngineMFH feed.

Here are the buildings with Zillow contracts:

[Insert building names here]

Please let us know if anything else is needed to move forward.

Thanks,

[Your Name]

Step 3 — RentEngine replies with technical details

We’ll reply on the same thread with building names, property IDs, and any feed metadata Zillow needs. No further action is required from you here.

Step 4 — Zillow confirms the change

Zillow will confirm once the feed is switched. Your listings will then publish from RentEngine and leads will flow into RentEngine.
