Manage application groups
This guide will show you how to join and split applicant groups—without contacting support.
What you can do
- Move an applicant to a different application group (merge groups).
- Split an applicant into a new, single-applicant (standalone) group.
Step-by-step guide
- Open the application
- Go to Rental Applications.
- Open the application that contains the applicant you want to move.
- Open the actions menu
- In the applicant row, click the three dots under Actions.
- Choose “Change Applicant’s Group”
- Click Change Applicant’s Group.
- Select where to move the applicant (or split)
- In the dialog:
- To merge/move into another group: use Search Applicant Names to find a member of the destination App Group, then select that group.
- To split into a new group: click Split into Standalone App.
- Save
- Click Change Group (or confirm the split). The application list will refresh with the new grouping.
Notes
- Moving or splitting applicants does not delete any submitted information; it only changes which application group they belong to.
- If application fees or screenings are involved, review your internal policy before moving applicants between groups.
