On Hold and Waitlist Status
If you have vacancies that aren't ready yet, this guide will show you how to control availability for showings
For properties where you need to stop showings indefinitely, you should use the On Hold status. This can be helpful if you already have a lot of qualified applications or have a critical maintenance issue.
You can set a property to On Hold in the Properties tab. Click Take Action > Mark as On Hold
When a vacancy is On Hold, the following apply:
RentEngine still markets the property across all the listing sites
Prospects cannot directly schedule a showing (showings have to be manually scheduled)
New leads are still responded to and logged
Follow ups and AI responses are turned off
If you set the property back to Available (Take Action > Mark as Available), we will notify all the active leads and help them schedule a showing as usual.
You can control availability for showings when you activate a vacancy. On the first page of the property info, click the "Is the unit currently occupied" checkbox and enter the earliest move in date and earliest showing date.
The system will not allow prospects to schedule showings before that date. It will also let prospects know that they can't move in until. the Earliest Move-in Date.

For properties with an Earliest Showing Date more than 7 days away, they will show internally as Waitlist status.
During the Waitlist status, the following apply:
RentEngine still markets the property across all the listing sites
Prospects can proactively schedule a showing
New leads are still responded to and logged
Follow ups and AI responses are turned off
And then 7 days before the Earliest Showing Date, we'll begin actively reaching out to get them scheduled.
No manual action is needed to move a property from Waitlist to Available. That will automatically happen 7 days before the Earliest Available Showing Date.
