Why and how to use Subteams

Subteams help you split your portfolio and workload by groups (e.g., regions, owners, asset types, or offices). They keep notifications, ownership, and filters tidy—so the right people see the right leads at the right time.

Why use Subteams?

Common use cases

  • Portfolio splits: East vs. West, Single-family vs. Multifamily, Owner A vs. Owner B.
  • Local coverage: Group agents by city/zone to reduce drive time.
  • Operational clarity: Each subteam manages “its” properties and related prospects.

Benefits

  • Focused notifications: Only the subteam for a property gets the calls/texts for that property.
  • Cleaner views: Command Center and Showings Calendar default to what’s relevant to you.
  • Better routing: Works great with Smart Assign to pick the best agent within a subteam.

Set up Subteams

  1. Go to Settings → Team (Admins).
  2. Create / edit your subteams and add members.

Assign properties to a Subteam

  • During unit activation, on the Access Instructions page (second step) select the Subteam for that property.
  • For existing properties: Properties → Take action → Edit property and pick the correct Subteam.
