Overview
Require prospects to submit a rental application before they can schedule a showing. This is only available when using RentEngine Applications.
You can set this at the portfolio level or override it per unit.
Set the requirement
Portfolio default
Go to Settings > Portfolio.
In the Application Visibility section, find Application required for showing.
Select one of the following:
No — prospects can schedule a showing without an application.
Application Submission — prospects must submit an application first. The schedule link is automatically sent when they submit.
Application Conditionally Approved — prospects must wait for property manager approval on their application before receiving the schedule link.
Save.
Per-unit override
Open the unit's edit page.
In the Prescreen Template section, find Application required for showing.
Choose Inherit from portfolio to follow the company default, or select a specific option for this unit.
Save.
You can also bulk-edit this field across multiple units.
Important notes
The unit-level setting overrides the portfolio default.
Setting it to Application Conditionally Approved means a team member must approve the application before the prospect receives the showing schedule link.
Setting it to Application Submission auto-triggers the schedule link upon submission; no manual approval is needed.
This feature is hidden if RentEngine Applications are not enabled on your account.
