Overview

Settings > Company is where you configure your account-level settings — your PMS connection, branding, listings widget, owner reports, and office hours. Your account ID is displayed at the top of the page for reference.

Connect your property management system

Select your PMS from the dropdown and enter the required credentials. RentEngine supports the following systems:

  • AppFolio

  • Buildium via your Buildium public website or Buildium Marketplace — Connect via the RentEngine integration in the Buildium Marketplace. No manual credentials needed.

  • RentVine: Optionally add an API Key and API Secret to enable application syncing.

  • Propertyware API — Enter your Client ID, Client Secret, System ID, and Subdomain

  • DoorLoop

Sync options

Once your PMS is connected, you can enable the following:

  • Sync all published units & prices — Pulls published units and current pricing from your PMS into RentEngine automatically.

  • Sync marketing content — Pulls marketing descriptions from your PMS. Only available when unit sync is enabled.

  • Include amenities — Pulls amenity data alongside marketing content. AppFolio only.

  • Import & use 3rd party rental applications — Enables an external application URL and fee. Use this if your applications are hosted on another platform, not RentEngine (e.g., AppFolio, RentVine).

  • Use default application link — Appears when 3rd party applications are enabled. Enter the URL prospects will use to apply. (For example: Boom, Findings, etc.)

Customize company branding

Fill out your company information as it should appear on the leasing reports sent to owners, and outgoing communication:

  • Company name — How your name appears on reports

  • Company legal name — Your official registered business name

  • Company phone — 10-digit US phone number

  • Company email — Primary contact email. This is the email that will receive the replies from owners when the weekly reports are sent automatically.

  • Company website — Your public website URL

  • Google Business Profile Review URL — Paste the "Write a review" link from your Google Business Profile. Required to send review invitations after showings. See Google Reviews.

  • Timezone — Select a referential location. This is used for scheduling and report timing

  • Primary color — Sets your brand color across the platform

  • Logo — Upload a .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .webp, or .svg file (max 4MB)

Photo watermarks

Check Add watermarks to photos to overlay your branding on listing photos. Then choose:

  • Watermark type — Company name or company logo

  • Make logo monochrome — Available when using the logo watermark. Enabled by default for a less intrusive look.

  • Include phone number in watermark — Yes or No

To apply watermark settings to existing photos, reach out via the support chat.

Listings widget builder

  • The listings widget is the section of your website that displays your active listings. Click Build Custom Widget to generate an embeddable iframe you can add to your site.

  • You can filter the widget by multifamily property, unit, subteam, property type, zip code, or owner — and configure the default view (grid or map), sort order, and pagination. Copy the embed code and give it to your developer to place on your site.

  • Important: Only add the widget to your website after your units are active in RentEngine. The widget won't display any listings until units are published.

  • If you work with PMW (Property Management Websites), they only need your Account ID, which is displayed at the top of this page.

  • For multifamily-specific widget setup, see Set up multifamily properties in RentEngine.

Owner report

Configure the automated leasing report sent to property owners.

  • Day of week — Which day the report goes out

  • Hour — What time it sends (between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.)

  • Lookback period — How many days of data the report covers (1-30 days). The report covers data up to but not including the sending date.

  • Report metrics — Choose which metrics appear in the report

  • Hide prospect names — Check this to redact prospect names from owner-facing reports

  • Owner leasing report email — Customize the email body sent with the report

Market Tool widget

The Market Tool widget lets you embed a rent comparison tool on your website to capture leads. Configure:

  • Recipient emails for new leads — Up to 10 email addresses. Every new lead from the widget is sent to everyone on this list.

  • Embed code — Copy and paste this iframe into your website

Office hours

  • Set the days and times your office is open. RentEngine AI references these hours when promising callbacks or scheduling follow-ups, and avoids committing to times outside this window.

  • Enable each day you're open and set opening and closing times. Closing time must be after opening time.

  • Multifamily properties with their own office hours will override these company-wide defaults.
