How to use RentEngine AI
⚙️ Accessing and Managing AI
You can manage all AI settings directly in your RentEngine dashboard under:
Settings → Communication → RentEngine AI
From here, you can:
- Turn RentEngine AI on or off
- Enable or disable AI Texting and AI Calls
- Set operating hours
- Fine-tune responses with the Snippets feature
When toggled on, AI automatically responds to new inquiries via text or call and moves leads through your leasing pipeline.
Customize
You can control how the AI communicates with prospects by adjusting its tone and behavior.
- Select the overall tone (e.g., Neutral, Workplace Casual, or Professional)
- Add custom instructions to guide how the AI interacts - such as being professional or emphasizing quick application turnaround
Example Instruction:
“Always be friendly and professional. Ask about move-in timeline early in the conversation."
Your tone and instructions help ensure every automated message matches your company’s communication style.
Schedule
You can customize when AI is active using the built-in scheduler.
Orange blocks indicate the hours your AI is active.
This lets you limit AI call hours to business times or keep it active 24/7 for after-hours coverage.
Fine-tuning AI Responses
RentEngine AI is already trained on your property data, leasing process, and company info.
You can also supplement it with Snippets to answer more specific questions.
Update or create Snippets under Settings → Communication → Snippets to give context to the AI for specific situations.
