Require manual approval before a showing is scheduled
When the Showing Approval feature is enabled, all showing requests will first go into a Showing Pending status.
A property manager must approve or cancel each showing before it is scheduled. This feature provides more control over scheduling.
Prospect Experience
When a prospect submits a showing request, after selecting the date, time, and going through the prescreening questions, they will see a confirmation page indicating that their request has been received.
They will also receive a text message confirming that their request is pending approval. The message clearly states it is a showing request, not yet a confirmed showing.
Property Manager Experience
Inside the Command Center, you will see the showing request as pending. From here, you can choose to Approve or Cancel the request.
When you approve the showing, you will see a success notification confirming that the approval was processed.
At this point, a scheduling message will be automatically sent to the prospect letting them know that their showing is scheduled.
Pending Showings in the Calendar
Pending showings are purple in your Showings Calendar, making them easy to identify at a glance. From here, you can also Approve or Cancel the showing request.
How to enable Showing Approval
- Go to the property’s settings: Property > Take Action > Edit Property
- In Step 2 of the property editing flow, look for the option Require PM Approval for Showings
- For Self-Guided Showings, the option appears at the bottom of Step 2.For Accompanied Showings, click Show More at the bottom of Step 2, then check Require PM Approval for Showings
Customizing Pending and Confirmation Messages
To customize the messages that prospects receive when their showing is pending or confirmed:
- Go to Settings > Communication > Messages
- Edit the templates under Showing Pending Approval and Showing Confirmation
This allows you to use your own wording while maintaining clear communication with prospects.
