Reset Location Permissions to Start Your Showing

Can't start your showing?


This guide will show you how to re-enable location permissions to start your showing.


You might be here if you:

  • Accidentally blocked location access by tapping too quickly
  • Didn't see the prompt
  • The system isn't letting you start the showing


If you're using Chrome


On iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Scroll down and tap Chrome.
  3. Tap Location.
  4. Set to Allow.
  5. Go back to Chrome and refresh the page.
  6. Restart the scheduling and press Allow again, if prompted.


Alternatively:

  1. Open Chrome and visit the site.
  2. Tap the location icon on the left of the address bar (only appears if settings were previously changed).
  3. Turn permissions on.

If the permission never appeared, follow the steps in Apple’s guide for Chrome.


On Android

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Tap Apps > See all apps (if needed).
  3. Select Chrome.
  4. Tap Permissions > Location.
  5. Select Allow only while using the app.
  6. Go back to Chrome and refresh the page.
  7. Restart the scheduling and press Allow again, if prompted.


Alternatively:

  1. In Chrome, tap the ⋮ menu and click Settings.
  2. Go to Site settingsLocation
  3. If the site is listed under Blocked, tap the site → choose Allow.

If you're using Safari


On iPhone or iPad (iOS 13 and above)

  1. Open Safari.
  2. Tap the “AA” icon in the address bar.
  3. Tap Website Settings.
  4. Set Location permissions to Allow.
  5. Go back to the website and refresh the page.
  6. Restart the scheduling and press Allow again, if prompted.


On iOS below 13

  1. Go to your iPhone’s Settings.
  2. Scroll down and tap Safari.
  3. Tap Location and choose Ask or Allow.
  4. Go back to the website and refresh the page.
  5. Restart the scheduling and press Allow again, if prompted.

Resetting Location Permissions

If a prospect either denies Location Permissions from the system popup or has previously blocked Location Permissions in their browser, they will need to reset them before they can start the showing.


The exact steps depend on if they have an iPhone or Android


iPhone
  1. Navigate to the iPhone Settings
  2. Scroll to Apps at the bottom and click that
  3. Find your browser in the list (e.g. Safari, Chrome) and press it
  4. Then scroll all the way down to the bottom and click the Location option
  5. Then select Allow
  6. Finally, go back to the browser and refresh the page


It may reprompt for your Location Permissions. Press Allow and then continue to start the showing


Android
  1. Navigate to the Settings
  2. Tap Location
  3. Tap App location permissions
  4. Under 'Allowed all the time,' 'Allowed only while in use,' 'Ask every time,' and 'Not allowed,' find the apps that can use your device's location. To change the app's permissions, tap it. Then, choose the location access for the app.
  5. Finally, go back to the browser and refresh the page


It may reprompt for your Location Permissions. Press Allow and then continue to start the showing
