Set up TTLocks in RentEngine

Written by RentEngine Ops

Overview

TTLocks are cost-effective, feature-rich smart lockboxes with no monthly fees. To use them inside RentEngine, you need a TTLock account with your devices added, then connect that account to RentEngine.

Before you begin

Make sure you have a TTLock account at lock2.ttlock.com and that all your TTLock devices are added to that account.

Find your TTLock MAC address

RentEngine uses the MAC address as the identifier for each TTLock device (equivalent to a serial number). To find it:

  1. Open the TTLock app

  2. Tap on a lock

  3. Tap the gear icon to open the lock settings

  4. Under Basics, locate the MAC field — this is the ID you'll need in RentEngine

Add TTLocks in RentEngine

  1. Go to the Lockboxes tab in RentEngine

  2. Click Add Lockbox at the top right

  3. Select TTLock as the lockbox type

  4. Click Add Account and enter your TTLock username and password

  5. Once your account is connected, RentEngine will display all TTLocks added to your TTLock account

  6. Select all the devices you want to add

  7. Click Create Lockboxes

Your TTLocks are now in RentEngine and ready to be linked to properties.

Note: The RentEngine onboarding team will complete this step for you during onboarding.

Verify setup in RentEngine

If the devices were added correctly, you will be able to generate a code for them from the Lockboxes tab in RentEngine.

After setup

Once your TTLocks are added:

  • You can connect each lockbox to a vacant property

  • RentEngine can automatically generate access codes for scheduled showings

  • You can manually generate codes from the Lockboxes tab

Need help?

If a lockbox doesn't appear or generate a code in RentEngine:

  • Confirm the device is added to your TTLock account at lock2.ttlock.com

  • Ensure the MAC address in RentEngine matches the physical device

  • Check that your TTLock account credentials were entered correctly
