Overview
After onboarding onto RentEngine Applications, you'll need to complete the TransUnion credentialing process within 30 days. This is a required step — you may lose access to rental applications if it's not completed within that window.
How It Works
After onboarding, TransUnion will send an email directly to your RentEngine account owner to start the process. The email will include instructions for completing three steps:
Business application — a short form with basic information about your company
MSA (Master Service Agreement) — a contract to sign with TransUnion
Virtual office inspection — a brief virtual walkthrough of your office
Once you've received the information from TransUnion, the entire process takes less than 30 minutes to complete. TransUnion will then verify the information on their end.
Note: if you've been credentialed with TransUnion within the last five years, you will see a slightly different process.
What Changes After Credentialing
Once your credentialing is verified, you'll get access to additional features in the rental application.
Reports will return faster, and your prospects will have a smoother experience — they'll no longer need to complete the additional identity verification step during their application.
